Always remember that any child with a disability or special needs, is a child first of all. Any condition they may have should always come second.

The Aidis Trust

The Aidis trust is a registered charity, which provides computer communication equipment to people with physical disabilities for their home use.

Anyone who has a physical disability and would benefit from computer equipment can apply. A member of their family or professional person may write on their behalf.

Once you have wrote to the Aidis trust they will send you an application form out and a board of trustees will hear the application.

The trustees will then decide if you are successful and if you are they will coordinate a fund raising appeal to raise the money to buy the equipment.

This can take a few weeks or months it depends on the response they have to the appeal.

They provide different kinds of computers with a variety of adaptations tailored to suit the person's needs.

If you are successful and they have raised the money needed the equipment will be ordered by the Aidis trust and they will deliver it to your home and set it up for you, the computer will be yours to keep forever.
