Special Abilities -- Who we are?

My name is Gillian Archbold I am the founder of Special Abilities. My daughter Sabrina was born with cerebral palsy and we know first hand the difficulties parents of special needs children have to deal with on a daily basis, myself as a parent and carer and Sabrina as a person with a special need. Because of the experiences we have both experienced we felt impelled to help other families so that they don’t have to go through the same traumas, as many families of special needs children have to go through.

This is why we set up Special Abilities to help and supoport parents /carers of a child with a special need, we have been able to offer support advice information booklets and a web site and have been able to help hundreds of parents/carers of a child with a special need through one to one contact emails events, and thousands of parents/carers through the web site,

Special Abilities has already been involved in several awareness training events which have been a great success. This as made us aware that there is a great need for more of these training events. There is a great deal of pressure on parents/carers of a special needs child and they need somebody to understand their children’s individual needs and this is why Special Abilities Ltd as been set up

Over the last few years we have been informed that Special abilities is at the leading edge of providing information to parents/carers and professionals and that we have been recognised as pioneers in this field.

This is why we have now set up Special Abilities ltd which is run by myself Gillian, and my daughter Sabrina. We believe that we deliver this training with the knowledge and experiences of myself as a parent, and a carer and my daughter as disabled person but also as people with considerable training and years of experiences dealing with disability issues.
